[/size]" i grew up in a place where the type of music and people that i work with now aren't exactly the norm. i grew up in a neighbor hood where no one wore white after labor day and the rest of the year gray and black were the main colors of fashion. i grew up with money. thankfully, i grew up with the most understanding parents i could ask for, as well as a lesbian sister and a brother that enjoys cross dressers. i happen to be the only child of my parents that's into clean cut women with manners and a cute smile. well either way, it was easy growing up in the kennedy home. we had plenty of money for me to do as i pleased and everyone got along with everyone, despite the controversy that my siblings brought about. the white tie affairs and the weekends spent at beach houses....all of it was great. and when i told my parents i wanted to college for music business classes, they sent me to my first choice right away and expected great things from me. well i went to school and almost instantly got a job as a marketing associate at a small label outside of harrisburg, pennsylvania. i worked my way up until i was hired by another label. i went through just about every part of the recording process; i was an assistant to a producer, i ran errands (but i was called an assistant) for a music video producer; i was passed around labels for a few years until i finally settled here in the city with nemesis records. being a talent scout means i get to use my freedom outside of the label and just go and recruit bands. people sometimes hate me just because i'm a talent scout; they believe i'm the source of sellouts or something, but honestly i'm just in it to get into shows free. plus, it's a way to meet new people and hear new music; i feel so knowledged because i get to do what i do. it's the best job ever, honestly.
