Another cigarette, and I'm so bored (Your words aren't making sense) AND I WAS TAKEN, BUT YOU WERE WAITING ONE MORE DRINK AND I'M CONVINCED - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Derik was sick of being stuck at home. He was getting really antsy to get out of the house. He can feel himself just wanting to just jump out of his seat and run around in circles he was so bored! He had nothing to do and all of his buddies were out of town for the weekend which didn't help. And most of his friends that were still in town he didn't even like talking to anyways. But he just had to get out of the house soon.
He figured sense he had no other options left. This would be the perfect opportunity to make some new music for the band. He grabbed his guitar case hanging on his wall with his guitar already inside it and headed out toward his favorite spot to write new music. He got outside and caught a big whiff of the cool fresh air. It always makes him happy to be outside and away from the computers once and a while. Then once he was satisfied, he continued headed to Central Park.
Derik finally made it and was already walking toward his favorite spot to hang out where it's always shaded and away from all the crowd. But only to his disappointment it was taken by someone else. He didn't want to disturb their peace so he continued to find another shaded place to write his music. Which luckily he found another perfect spot. He walked toward it, sat down, took in another deep breath of that fresh air, took out his guitar and started playing.
Derik started out playing something familiar to him to warm up before he started playing something new. He tune his guitar a bit and then started playing. He strummed new chords here and there, and hummed along to the notes and creating lyrics in his head. Wrote down a few words in his notebook now and then and started getting a good feeling about this new song. After a few minutes of playing he started strumming the full song from beginning to end. A few people walked by and threw money in his guitar case. He wasn't expecting people to give money to him seeing how his song wasn't even published or anything. But he didn't argue. He just ignored the people watching and continued playing. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

. Elena had been sitting at her laptop as usual, busting out another gossip column. It was her job, and she loved it. It was her duty to fans, colleagues, and herself to find the good pieces and publish them. Sure her blog entitled Mack Attack was up for the world to see, but her well written gossip pieces were sent to the magazine. The best part about where she worked was that she could do it from the comfort of her own home. As long as her deadline was met, and it always was. Today however, Elena could noy get her muse to comply with her demands.
She looked outside, and it was beautiful New York weather. All Elena could do was think about being outside, and that meant one thing. She was not going to get any writing done sitting in this chair staring at the beautiful sky and the bussle of the streets. Elena, being who she was, was dressed skimpily, and was not ashamed. She absolutely adored everything about who she was and other columnists could bite her for all she cared. She was not out to prove anything to them besides the fact that she was the best in the industry and no one was going to stand in her way.
When her feet brought her to Central Park, she was a bit appalled. She looked at her feet and scowled. This was a tourist attraction, but then again there was not much else to do. She looked around for anyone she knew, and then a boy struck her funny. Notepad, guitar, and a lonely piece of this park that no one else trod upon. She smirked to herself, because finding a story was not on her agenda. Although Elena was not one to bite the hand that supplied herself and her needs. She took what came her wy with grace.
She walked towards the boy, and knew she would have to pllay her cool with him. She did not need him to figure anything out about her games. She smiled at him brightly, before speaking. “is this seat taken?”

Another cigarette, and I'm so bored (Your words aren't making sense) AND I WAS TAKEN, BUT YOU WERE WAITING ONE MORE DRINK AND I'M CONVINCED- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Derik was still strumming away like crazy, and was so into his song in progress that he could barely pay any attention to what was going one around him. But even though he didn't notice, he figured that his quiet spot was starting to get a little crowded with people wanting to here him play. At first it started getting a little uncomfortable and unexpected and weird to him. But after a while he was starting to get used to all the attention and it started giving him a good feeling that people were enjoying the music that he was playing. So he just let them mind their own business and continued to focus on his guitar.
He was reaching toward the end of his song, and he listened back to what he just played and thought that it might need some editing and needs more practice. He strummed his the last chord to the song and heard some clapping and cheering for him in the end. He looked up at all the people that were watching him and thought it was more then he had thought. He smiled at them and thanked them for watching him play, then they all went their separate ways.
Once the spot was all cleared up, he noticed a girl coming his way. He was wondering if she was really walking toward him or if she was just walking by. To his surprise he she was really walking toward him. He looked behind him to make sure their wasn't anyone behind him she was looking at. No one behind him. Is she stalking me? or did she like my song and want to question me about it? He thought. She was then up close enough to him to hear her and asked him if she could sit next to him. He was a little curious and felt a little awkward but he stayed friendly, smiled and replied. "Sure, go ahead." - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Elena had been watching the boy with the guitar while he played, and he was actually pretty good. Which meant that he was most likely in one of the bands floating around this great city. Which just made Elena love her job a little bit more than she already. Sure, Elena could have been a reporter, and only report the truth, but there was something about the chase of finding out information that people did not want her to find. It made her life so much more fun, and that was what made her who she was. She smiled as the boy answered her question. She knew that he would say yes, most men did.
She grinned at the boy with the guitar and tried to figure out how she knew him. There was something about him that made her feel like she knew him already. She had probably seen his band perform, or even interviewed him already. Those points were in the past because she did not really care. He was decent looking, and would at least entertain her for a while. It would take away some of her boredom for the day. She looked at him, and then it struck her. He was Derik. She had seen Hear the Beating play many times, so there was no point in pretending not to know him. “Glad you let me sit here, Derik. It has been a while since I saw you.”
[/color] She knew that it would catch him off guard that she knew who it was. He would most likely think that she was some stalker fan, but she was not. She was a gossip girl, and imagine what that would do for her blog if she were to kiss him. She could not think a better thing about this situation, and she was ready to finese this situation to her advantage. She doubted that he would realize that she wrote her blog, but it was a risk she was willing to take. Another cigarette, and I'm so bored (Your words aren't making sense) AND I WAS TAKEN, BUT YOU WERE WAITING ONE MORE DRINK AND I'M CONVINCED- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As the girl came over to his spot and sat next to him. I felt somewhat uncomfortable and a little weird. He was asking himself. "Why over hear? Do I even know this girl? There are plenty of other spots in the park. So why did she come over hear? Does she want my number?" All these sorts of questions were running through his mind and distracting him from his music. So he tried to ignore the girl and focus on his guitar and blocked that girl out of his mind.
His mind was finally clear and he began to strum and find the write chord. He cringed a little when he strummed a sour note. He tune the guitar a little and strummed the chord again. Much better. He tested a few chords here and there to and see how they would sound together. He liked the sound so he tried a different chord combo. He liked where this was going. He was so in tuned with this guitar and the sounds that the song that he was making that he practicly forgot that someone was sitting right next to him.
Right when he was in the middle of the song. The girl sitting right next to him started talking to him. Saying she was glad that he let her sit next to him and such. He just gave her a quick smile "Oh sure, no prob." Then she kept talking to him but this time she said. "It's been a while since I saw you." He look at her kind of confused. When has he seen her before? "I'm sorry, I'm not sure if I remember seeing you before. I mean I probably have but it might have just been a long time and I just forget peoples faces easily." He hope that was a good enough reason. He honestly don't remember seeing a face like hers before. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
